I want to help other people cultivate their creative confidence, turn their ideas into reality, and pursue their curiosity through art. I've been drawing and telling stories my whole life. I started publishing my work on instagram (@miraliaas) four years ago. 

I specialize in webcomics, digital illustration, and sketchbooking. In all my mediums I work to weave together narrative and design. With this course, I want to make artistic creation accessible to everyone. Whether you are just starting out or are a seasoned creative, I hope my work and advice can inspire you to realize your artistic goals!

We will begin by getting familiar with the world of webcomics: think about your inspirations and understand the tools you’ll need. From there, we will move into shaping your story,  choosing your story format, mapping your plot, crafting characters, and writing your first script.

Modules 3–4: 

Structuring your comic

Now your ideas take visual form. You’ll explore page layouts, creative paneling, rough sketches, and practical tips for drawing environments and anatomy. Then you will refine your pages with speech bubbles, placement, lineart, and my guidance to make it through this detailed stage.

At the very end, you’ll prepare your comic to share more widely: selecting how to share it, building a website if needed,  and celebrating your finished project.
